What I did
I worked as an intern at Renova, Inc. for five months and worked full-time for four months. I was at the division of the Business Origination and was given a variety of tasks.
The major works included the following:
- New offshore wind farm project development in Japan.
- Cost and policy analysis of the global trend of wind farms and turbines.
- Finding the supplier for proving pellets for 300MW mega-biomass power plant.
Remarks
I learned the importance of teamwork and how the renewable energy industry will make transitions in the future.
Skills gained:
- Applying GIS with complex variables in mind.
- Effective PowerPoint presentation for convincing business partner.
- The ability to take out the most important information from a large set of data.
- The ability to translate, communicate, and being the bridge between Japanese and the world.
- Teamwork experience.
